Chapter Seventeen: Torn by Grief, Tethered by Love

Linda Henderson’s world breaks when a texting truck driver rear-ends her daughter Andrea’s car, pushing it into oncoming traffic and killing Andrea and a coworker instantly. Numbness, rage, anxiety, and spiritual collapse follow, culminating in a moment in a field where Linda nearly gives up, until a flicker of hope pulls her back. She rebuilds through three pillars: Acknowledgment (naming and feeling the pain), Action (tiny, doable steps like stepping into the sun, daily walks, and writing The Road of Love & Hope), and Appreciation (nature, memories, gratitude). Grief remains, but love and purpose guide her forward.
